Malabar Pied Hornbill

Anthracoceros coronatus
Very large black and white bird with a huge casque on its bill. Edges of wings are white along with tail feathers (middle feather black). Males have black on the rear of casque, blue facial skin and red iris. Females have white facial skin and brown iris. In all other aspects sexes look alike. Less secretive than the Sri Lanka Grey Hornbill (Ocyceros gingalensis).
