Peppergrass
Grey-headed Fish Eagle

Icthyophaga icthyaetus
Grey head with a white lower belly, short white tibial feathers, white under-tail coverts and a short black-tipped white tail (reverse of the White-bellied Fish Eagles pattern). Short broader wings than the White-bellied. Both sexes are alike. Juveniles and paler and slightly browner. Heavy flight shows an all dark under-wing in adults. Rarely soars. The birds spend most of their time perched on a branch overlooking water watching for fish and once spotted, will swoop down and grab it.
