Brown-headed Barbet

Megalaima zeylanica zeylanica
Large headed, brown and green barbet. Large yellowish orange bare patches circle the eyes and reach the reddish-orange bill. Head, neck, mantle and upper breast pale brown and flecked with a dull white. Wings are a bright vibrant grass green with small white flecks. Belly is a paler green. Both sexes are a like. Very loud call.
