Hydrophasianus chirurgus
A fairly large, long-legged water bird with 15 cm black tail streamers when in breading plumage. Black-edged yellow hind-neck, black underparts and a brown back. In all plumage’s the outer wings are strikingly white with black wing tips. When in non-breading plumage they appear paler brown and white below like juveniles. Though juveniles lack the yellow on neck. Very long toes and short bill. Sexes alike.
