White-throated Kingfisher
Halcyon smyrnensis
A large turquoise, brown and white kingfisher. These birds have large powerful red bills and long tails. Head and under parts are a rusty brown and the breast is white. Shoulders have broad brown and black patches. Both sexes are alike.
