White-breasted Waterhen

Amaurornis phoenicurus phoenicurus
Long necked, large grey and white waterhen, which is a dark slate-grey from the rear crown to the tail. Underside is white. The lower belly vent is rufous orange. Yellow legs and bill, which has a red basal patch. Both sexes are alike. Juveniles however, are brown above and grey below.
