Peppergrass
Indian Roller

Coracias benghalensis
Also known as the Indian Blue Jay, is another common breeding resident in both India and Sri Lanka. These birds have large heads and are a sort of dark pinkish-brown colour, allowing them to blend in with their surroundings. It’s only when they take flight that you see a sudden burst of blue from their wings. Both sexes are alike. Juveniles however are a duller shade compared to the adults.
